Andrew W. W. Cockwell

Andrew Cockwell is co-Managing Partner of Ursataur Capital Management. Prior to establishing Ursataur, Andrew was a partner in ReichmannHauer Capital Partners, a Canadian middle market private equity firm, where he successfully invested in a range of companies. Andrew has served on the Board of Directors of several portfolio companies and has assumed interim executive roles with investee companies where circumstances have so warranted. Andrew was previously a management consultant at the global consultancy McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, Andrew was a member of McKinsey’s Private Equity practice and its Corporate Finance & Strategy practice and was a co-author of the McKinsey & Company report, Private Equity Canada 2004. Before joining McKinsey, Andrew practiced law at Sullivan & Cromwell in its mergers and acquisitions groups in New York and London. His legal practice included both private and public company mergers, acquisitions and investments in a range of industries. In addition, Andrew has advised on both debt and equity securities issuance in various industries. In addition, Andrew serves on the Board of Directors of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

J. Francis Cooke

Francis Cooke is co-Managing Partner of Ursataur Capital Management.  In that capacity, Francis is integrally involved in Ursataur’s investment and portfolio monitoring activities.   Francis serves on the Board of Directors of portfolio companies and, when appropriate in the investment context, assumes targeted rules with investee companies. Prior to establishing Ursataur, Francis was a Principal at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a global strategy consulting firm, in its Toronto office.  Francis previously worked in BCG’s Sydney, Australia office. Francis was a core member of BCG’s Corporate Development practice and his consulting practice focused on corporate development-related issues (including investment due diligence, strategic transactions and corporate strategy), as well as operational improvement programs. Before joining BCG, Francis practiced law for several years in the New York and London offices of Sullivan & Cromwell, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions. His legal experience includes private and public company mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances and investments across a range of industries and transaction structures.
